The second wave of covid-19 pandemic has hit the country so badly. Our whole country is suffering from the exponential raise in the number of corona positive people, complexity and severity of extreme health issues due to this new mutant virus strain, increased death ratios due to unavailability of required medical facilities and oxygen crisis. Arogya Kavach is the health-hygiene kit, awareness and mental health support campaign developed and implemented by Aruna Kishor Foundation (A K Foundation) to fight against covid-19 pandemic. This campaign is exclusively developed and implemented for children of age 5 to 14 years. Under this campaign our mission is to provide Arogya Kavach to 1 Lakh underprivileged children to protect and prepare them for this New Normal Life amid this pandemic.
Through this campaign till now, A K Foundation has reached and donated more than Thirty Thousand Arogya Kavach Kits to underprivileged children of rural area and urban slums of Vadodara, Ahmedabad and Surendranagar districts as well as the rural areas of Aurangabad-Maharashtra. We welcome CSR partners, organizations or individual supporters/groups to join hands in this campaign to reach our mission.
Arogya Kavach is not only a hygiene kit but the life changing tool which will educate, empower and enlighten these children to sustain in these distorted circumstances. As a part of this campaign A K foundation has intervened with these children for 3 to 4 months in community through different awareness and edutainment activities focusing on hygiene habits and mental health of these children and their families to bring essential impact. Arogya Kavach has been a shield for the kids who were taught in streets of their villages or residential areas by the volunteer teachers. Arogya Kavach kit has been their hygiene support where children were taking education at their door step as digital learning facilities were difficult to avail due to limited resources and material.
The second wave of covid-19 pandemic has hit the country so badly. Our whole country is suffering from the exponential raise in the number of corona positive people, complexity and severity of extreme health issues due to this new mutant virus strain, increased death ratios due to unavailability of required medical facilities and oxygen crisis. This is the time when not only adults but children are also more prone to have infections due to exposure to the outer environment which may be infectious or contaminated with virus and bacteria. This is the time when, this kit is being an essential preventive tool for the children to protect themselves with necessary safety measures and hygiene habits.
And now when the schools and institutions are still prohibited from their regular academic operations in premises with children and teachers, Digital learning platforms has taken the place of classrooms. These children are also in a need of educational and learning resources support at their doorstep.
